Rejane Rose – Members’ Sailing Blog

Rejane Rose is our beautiful Jeanneau 349 Lifting Keel based on the East Coast at Woolverstone Marina. One of our members recently undertook a 7 day trip onboard her with their family and we are delighted to hear they had a great time! Here is the lovely email which we received in the office following their adventure:
Paula, Sue, Richard & Sam,
Just wanted to drop you a line to say “Thank you FlexiSail” We’ve just come back from an amazing week aboard Rejane Rose where we sailed our longest passage and longest trip yet.
Starting at Ipswich we sailed the inner route across the Thames estuary (~60nm) all the way down to Ramsgate in Kent, passing the amazing Shivering sands world war 2 towers in the process.
After a few days R&R in Ramsgate we sailed up to Burnham Yacht Harbour at Burnham on Crouch in Essex (~44nm), which was lovely and again spent another 2 days.
Yesterday we left Burnham at 6am to get the tide and sailed back in glorious sun and a F6 to Woolverstone (~46nm) and chilled out, but not before meeting up with other members on Rejane Rose at the Royal Harwich Yacht Club to share stories, tips, tricks and plans.
This morning we gave Rejane Rose a deep clean to get rid of all the salt from our passage and left her shiny and ready for whoever has her next.
This was the kind of sailing we dreamed of when we first met Richard and Sue aboard Rejane Rose on a Friday evening as you were preparing for an open day. Joining FlexiSail has literally meant we can make some of our dreams come true. The whole family had an amazing time thanks to the support of you guys and the extra training available, both down in Lymington and with Peter up here on Rejane Rose earlier in the year.
We’re now at home and chilling out and already planning where to explore next!
