FlexiSail Members Enjoy SailGP in Portsmouth

Last weekend, FlexiSail members enjoyed an unforgettable day on the water as they headed out to watch the SailGP racing in Portsmouth. With world-class teams battling it out at incredible speeds, our members had the best seats in the house aboard Maverick, our Axopar 28, and Varvassi, our Hanse 418.

An Electric Atmosphere on the Solent

The Solent came alive with excitement as the F50 foiling catamarans lined up just off Portsmouth. Against a backdrop of sunshine, sea breeze, and cheering crowds, members aboard Maverick and Varvassi were able to soak up the unique SailGP atmosphere from the perfect vantage point—right on the water.

Two Boats, Two Perspectives

• Maverick (Axopar 28): Fast and agile, Maverick provided members with a thrilling platform to get up close to the racing action, following the fleet as they hit blistering speeds across the course.

• Varvassi (Hanse 418): Offering a more spacious and relaxed setting, Varvassi was the ideal base for members who wanted to combine the spectacle of SailGP with the comfort of a premium cruising yacht.

Together, the two boats showcased the variety and flexibility of the FlexiSail fleet—something for every style of adventure.

A Day of Friendship and Shared Experience

Beyond the racing itself, the outing was another reminder of what makes FlexiSail special. Members enjoyed food, drinks, and plenty of laughter on board, while sharing the excitement of one of sailing’s most spectacular global events. The camaraderie between crews was as much a highlight as the racing itself.

Looking Ahead

SailGP in Portsmouth was a fantastic opportunity for FlexiSail members to come together and enjoy a truly world-class sporting event from the water. We’re already looking forward to organising more on-the-water outings like this, giving our members front-row access to some of the most exciting moments in sailing.

Here’s to more days like this, where sport, adventure, and community come together in true FlexiSail style.
