Poole is the world’s second largest natural harbour and is a stunning place to sail and have as your home port.
With National Park status and classified as an area of outstanding natural beauty, the harbour’s islands, such as Brownsea and Green Island, are unique and a wonderful wildlife habitat. We cannot think of a better place to get away from the mad rush of life!
Poole town is both truly historic and a great place to be with every facility within a few strides of Poole Quay Boat Haven Marina. Nowhere is it so easy to choose to shop or dine, go indoor swimming, see a film or enjoy the night life! It is all there, and particularly useful if the weather is not what it was hoped to be and sailing is off the agenda.
Poole is a wonderful base from which to explore the Jurassic Coast by turning west past Old Harry Rocks, Weymouth and beyond. With equal ease you are in striking distance of the Solent to the east and all it has to offer.
Cobbs Quay Marina has all the modern facilities you would expect, with pontoon berthing, mains power, and shower and laundry facilities.
Cobbs Quay Marina is easy to access, avoiding the town centre. You can link to this from both the east and west and so will be the closest quality sailing location for many people.
