Getting out on the water can be very exciting and full of adventures.
FlexiSail members have given us their top spots to go sailing, or power boating, which we have listed below. FlexiSail staff are very experienced and can offer great advice on places to go in and around our locations of Hamble, Lymington and Poole.
All FlexiSail members are able to cruise wherever they wish, as long as they stay within the limits of the boats cruising range. For most of our boats, that is anywhere in the UK and Europe as long as you are less than 60NM from a safe haven.
Nestled in the New Forest, Beaulieu River and Bucklers Hard are great day trips from either Hamble or Lymington. Beulieu is also a great location for any car fanatics, as it is home to the National Motor Museum. Beaulieu is also famous for it's cosy pubs and fine dining.
Buckler's Hard is on the banks of the Beaulieu River, with Georgian cottages running down a hill to the river, Buckler's Hard is part of a 9,000-acre Beaulieu Estate - it really is a sight worth seeing.
Yarmouth, a charming town with its unique boutique shops, galleries, and delicious dining options, is a must-visit destination throughout the year. The town is situated near Yarmouth Harbour, which is a popular spot for sailing enthusiasts. The Western Yar Estuary, which flows into the harbour, is home to a diverse range of wildlife and offers picturesque riverside walks. Visitors can also explore the beautiful West Wight area, which boasts numerous attractions and activities to enjoy.
Located on the north eastern side of the Isle of Wight, Osborne Bay is a highly sought-after anchorage spot for lunch in the Solent. As the first bay visible when heading east from Cowes, it offers a tranquil and picturesque setting for boaters. The bay is known for its calm waters, providing a perfect sunbathing spot during midday and a refreshing swimming spot in the afternoon.
Bembridge is a picturesque location with plenty of scenic walks to explore. One of the most popular walks is the Culver Down walk, which takes around two hours to complete. This walk offers breathtaking views of the surrounding area, including Sandown, as you make your way up and across the cliff face before descending towards Bembridge.

Poole is Europe's largest natural harbour and a stunning location to go boating.
Poole is known for its beautiful beaches and natural scenery. One of the top attractions in the area is Brownsea Island, a small sanctuary that's easily accessible from Cobbs Quay Marina. As soon as you step ashore, you'll feel like you've entered another world, with an abundance of wildlife and woodland to explore. There are also plenty of outdoor activities to try, beaches to picnic on, birds to watch, and trails to wander. It's the perfect destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
