As a FlexiCrew member, you would have the opportunity to sail on our beautiful fleet of cruising yachts.
Would you like to be out on the water, gain personal experience crewing on a variety of yachts and enjoy many of the benefits of FlexiSail boat share membership, but don’t have the time to commit to a full membership? FlexiCrew membership could be your ideal answer.
Many of our members are short of crew at different times and are often looking for someone to sail with, particularly at relatively short notice. You get to sail and socialise free, and our owners and full members get your talents, help, and company free too. A win win situation!
Much of the sailing is day sailing and is local, but on occasions can be further afield. You also have access in your own right to all our social events and training.
As a FlexiCrew member, you would have the opportunity to sail on our beautiful fleet of cruising yachts, based on the Hamble River and Lymington in the Solent, and in Poole. You will have the opportunity to build your experience and sea miles with a variety of skippers, or as an experienced skipper yourself help build the confidence and knowledge of less experienced skipper members.
You will also be able to take advantage of our members’ special rates on all our RYA training courses which are run through our own sailing school, FlexiCrew.
FlexiCrew Membership also means that you will be invited to our social gatherings, both on and off the water, all of which are fun and give you an opportunity to meet many of our members and ensure that you get asked to sail! Our socials alone add up to more than 7 days a year on the water and are only charged at cost price, a small fraction of normal commercial rates.
By joining our FlexiCrew membership programme your name, contact details, sailing experience and photograph will be added to our iCalendar crew database.
All members and owners access the Calendar to organise and book their sailing. When they need crew they will have your details at hand to call or email you to ask your availability. You will be included in our mailings and receive the opportunity to join in with our social events, take advantage of training workshops, and receive the members’ discount on all RYA courses.
If you are interested in FlexiCrew membership please call or email us in the office and we will send you an application form to complete. Please be aware that FlexiCrew places are strictly limited to ensure everyone gets value from their membership and consequently there may be a waiting list.
As for the cost of FlexiCrew Membership — we just charge £299 inc vat for a year of free sailing, access to our in-house training, and to our huge social programme of events.
