Due to exceptional demand for our membership programme we are specifically looking for new 32, 34, 37 and 40 foot yachts and a 34-38 foot motor cruiser.

We will also consider accepting nearly new boats into our programme.

We offer a 3 year management contract, extendable to 5 years for new boats, or simply a 3 year contract for nearly new.

Our primary brands for new yachts are the French manufacturers Dufour, Jenneau and Beneteau, and the Swedish made Nimbus for motor cruisers.

  1. Unlike other charter or fractional ownership programmes we restrict our membership on your boat to a maximum of 8 members including yourself. The important factor to take into account is that all 7 (maximum) members will treat and care for your boat as their own, because they will be sailing it regularly and will be totally familiar with it — resulting in a real ‘pride of ownership’. Controlling who has access to your boat is very important to us. Our members have exclusive access. Of course, they can bring friends, family, business colleagues or clients onboard, but we do not charter to the public; nor do we have corporate memberships or multiple skippers sharing one membership; we do not carry out public RYA training or permit school or university memberships on your boat. Your boat is for you and our other members’ exclusive use.

    In addition to the initial purchase and ongoing maintenance, the third large cost factor to owning a boat is the depreciation. Depreciation is dependent on the brand, model, and the way that your boat has been cared for and maintained. It is fair to describe our boats as equivalent to ‘very well maintained private boats’. Do take the time to view one of our older yachts and I guarantee that you will be impressed. We minimise depreciation by professional management, controlling who uses your boat, and following a proper maintenance and preventative maintenance programme. This ensures that your boat will never be compared to a ‘charter boat’.
  3. As a new boat owner we will give you a second membership free for the first 12 months.That is a total of 90 days on the water and includes a full weekend each month. We would be surprised if you used all your time, instead it gives you even greater flexibility to sail when you want.

  4. As a used boat owner we will be pleased to consider including your boat in our programme. Do call us and we can discuss the options available with you. As a guide your used boat would need to be less than 3 years old and in excellent, well cared for condition.
  5. We cover the cost of all standard maintenance, berthing, annual haul outs,  anti-fouling, engine servicing, insurance, monthly deep cleaning and our management charges. Only non-standard maintenance is chargeable and that is on a sliding scale.
  6. In addition to covering the costs set out above in (5), we pay you a guaranteed monthly income plus a revenue share that can add up to around 9% per annum of the value of your boat (The boat value is calculated at the time that it enters our programme and remains fixed for the purposes of revenue calculation for the whole period of our agreement).  This gives you the best of both worlds, both a fixed guaranteed income to offset your mortgage against and a share in the success of your boat.
  7. We are not ‘tied’ to any single boat manufacturer and will help you secure your boat at the market rate. This means you will not be paying a premium to put your boat in our programme. We will take you through the ‘cost of ownership’ calculations and ensure that you buy appropriately.
  8. We have our own integrated RYA sailing school, Solent Nautical College. You and the members have direct access to high quality one-to-one training onboard your FlexiSail boat. We believe safety and competency are paramount and this is reflected in the way we teach and in the responsible way our members treat your boat, which is of course your investment.
  9. Our active social programme is great fun and gives many opportunities to meet and to get to know all the members on your boat and in the rest of the fleet. It is good to know who is sailing your boat and we have found that through our socials friends and sailing companions are made. Our programme ranges from Skiing to Flotillas. It adds another dimension to your yachting or motor cruising.
